Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA)-This system uses sensors and cameras to identify vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists in your path. If a potential collision is detected, this system warns the driver and, if necessary, applies the brakes automatically to reduce the impact risk.  

Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA)– Changing lanes is safer with the Sorento’s blind-spot detection system. When a vehicle is detected in your blind spot, the system provides visual and audio alerts. If the driver attempts to merge despite the warning, the Sorento can intervene by applying brake pressure to prevent a potential collision.  

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and Lane Following Assist (LFA)– Drifting out of your lane can result in dangerous situations, especially on highways. The Lane Keeping Assist system gently corrects steering to maintain lane position, while Lane Following Assist provides steering input to keep the SUV centered within lane markings.  

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)– This feature makes backing out of parking spots safer. If another vehicle is detected approaching from the side, the system provides an alert and can apply the brakes to prevent a collision.  

Safe Exit Assist (SEA)– The 2025 Sorento is designed to protect passengers even when exiting the vehicle. Safe Exit Assist monitors for approaching traffic and warns passengers if it is unsafe to open the door.  

Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go– This adaptive cruise control system makes long highway drives more comfortable and secure. It maintains a set speed while adjusting the distance to the vehicle ahead, slowing down or accelerating to match traffic flow.  

Driver Attention Warning (DAW)– Fatigue and distractions can affect reaction time. The Driver Attention Warning system monitors driver behavior and provides alerts when signs of drowsiness or inattention are detected.
